Cain moved with the shadows throughout Happy Harbor's shipping yard. The incident with the time-travel had quickly been explained to her master, and allowed the young women to immediately get back to work in doing his bidding. However, instead of staying at his side for protection from conflicting interests, the assassin was sent to the town that was very near to Mt. Justice.
There had been reason to believe that The Justice League was re-using the landmark again to house some less experienced members in a form of training program. So, the girl was going to be sent in to take out whoever was there. Coming from the future, she knew a good number of the subjects in question, and was aware of what they could do, it would be a simple matter to hop from a boat and sneak into the mountain through way of water.
Now, she waited in the darkness of a cargo crate's shadow as a nearby ship was preparing to leave dock now. Clutching a wicked-looking knife in her hand, Cain was more than prepared for this mission.

The straining of the arrows were JUST audible in the practically silent night, alerting Cain to the presence of the interloper. Given only milliseconds to react, Cassandra's honed muscles and reflexes allowed the assassin to leap forward at the correct moment, and out of the web's area of affect.
Glaring up at the girl dressed in emerald, the young woman recognized her opponent as Artemis, a hero from the future whose counterparts she had encountered on a number of occasions. While capable opponents, the arrow-family of heroes were hardly something that could be compared to the detective and his apprentices.
Taking another bound forward, the leaped through the air with all her might. She aimed a spinning kick directly at her foe's head in an attempt to force the young woman to lose consciousness. If the match could be finished quickly, and on the martial artist's terms, she could quickly get to work of killing her foe before anyone noticed them.

Cassandra's dark eyes were trained intently on her opponent when the strike missed, reading how it moved in order to effectively predict what she planned to do. Considering it was Artemis, attempting to further utilize her arrows was the obvious choice.
Correctly summarizing this, Cain read the other woman's movements so as to predict the trajectory of her weapons effectively. Using her knife to deflect the projectiles, she discreetly drew several shuriken from her belt in the off-hand, and kept her eyes remained adeptly focused on her opponent.
In the case of this battle it was like two nearly identical warriors making combat. The two being combat specialists, the primary difference between the two being the type of weapons they used. However, the assassin had a trick up her sleeve that would tilt the battle into her favor. There had been a trade-off for not being able to speak after all.
It was rather obvious that the girl was going to attempt another arrow, and the subtle change in her drawing method accompanied by the different physical appearance of the arrow-head, told her it was some type of trick arrow. And knowing these heroic types, it was going to be one designed to detain her rather than slay her.
Then came the white noise. Not many people realized it, but most speaking came out as white noise to the girl, and she only understood what you wished to convey through how your body moved. The white noise itself came from Artemis's mouth, her brain substituting the unreadable noise for something less intruding. As such, she saw the button being pressed.
Moving in with astounding speed, Cain attempted to pin the other girl down in hopes of another one-try kill.

A R T E M I S C R O C K { A R T E M I S } had taught her. She may not have liked the idea of course, but Artemis was not about to be shown up by just any assassin who strolled into her territory. Her facial features remained static as she released the electronic net arrow from the notches on her bow, the crackling of the charge running through it almost as silent as the strumming of her first arrow when she unleashed it at the unsuspecting body against the crate. She knew that the chances of this arrow striking its target were quite minimal at this point, but with any luck it would distract her opponent just long enough for her to unleash her next assault. With her steel grey eyes tracing every movement made by the woman before her, Artemis awaited the perfect opportunity to strike - literally. Using her bow as a physical weapon had never been something that the archer preferred, but times like these forced her to push her feelings of disdain for damage away. Cassandra was an assassin trained specifically to protect the powerful Ra's Al Ghul. Not only was she genetically the best, but her training also made her the best. Or at least as far as Cain was concerned, she was the best. Really, the only one who Cain currently considered superior to her was Batman, and she wasn't fighting The Dark Knight, but she would certainly behave like it was.
At the very moment that Artemis chose to release the bow-string, Cain unleashed her handful of shuriken directly into the net, severing the electrified rope so that she could move through it mostly uninhibited. The sliced portions of cord, however, were still partially electrified. As such, when the pieces landed on her that were separated from the main generator they sent minor charges through the martial artist that made her hand stand a little before returning to their natural positions.
Using her arms to knock the pieces away before they were able to slow her movement much more than it had already. This broke the woman's focus JUST enough to not see the bow coming as it came down on her head. While the strike itself wasn't much worse than what Cassandra was normally subjected to, the ninja found the opportunity to play possum. Falling over in feigned loss of consciousness, Cain landed on her knees, then to her side with eyes closed. The ruse was clever, one that could possibly fool Batman briefly. Her heart-rate slowed to that of a person's body at rest, and breathing to match. This caused some minor dizziness in Cain's head, but it would be an effectively executed trick if she could get in a surprise attack of her own.

A R T E M I S C R O C K { A R T E M I S } Dark Knight. Resisting the urge to groan Artemis quickly shoved the thought of dealing with him in the back of her mind, but sadly she could not ignore everything that annoyed her. Wallace Rudolph West, no matter how adorable he was, was the perfect example of that. The geek-speedster literally had the worst timing ever not to mention the audacity to try and intervene in a high stakes situation dressed as a civilian. Was he trying to get himself killed?! Did he know how guilty she would feel if he got hurt under her watch? If the assassin had been conscious Wally would have proved to be the easiest target in the world when faced with the mysterious woman’s skills, especially since he would not have been able to use his speed to evade her. In all honesty Artemis had to resist the urge to smack him for his idiotic antics in that moment; she would definitely deal with him later though. ”I don’t need your help, Kid; I’ve already dealt with the issue,” came Artemis’s gruff reply as she pulled some titanium laced rope from her utility belt to bind the woman’s arms and legs. It was the same kind of material which she used to zip line across large expanses in the city so she knew it would hold up well against nearly any weapon and with the unconscious woman’s skills, the use of it as an inhibitor was the best plan.[/ul]

Cassandra's ploy seemed to have worked flawlessly. Not only that, but a civilian had appeared to distract the other woman. Readjusting her plan to take into account the new member, Cassandra was ready to finish this battle once and for all.
In a sudden burst of movement Cain spun around, her legs moving in a windmill-like fashion, and pushed off of the ground to flip mid-air. Landing behind Wally, she grabbed the young man and placed the honed edge of her knife to his throat.
Not saying a word, she pressed the edge closer to the vulnerable spot and nodded towards Artemis's weapons. This was her way of telling the other warrior to drop the weapons and he won't die immediately.

"look your a pretty girl and all but the I'm not ur type," wally was not liking the idea that he was going to hit this girl but he was, wally took his foot and slammed it on the this strange girls foot while his elbow went strait for her gut. "you should have just went with the icecream offer, theirs more to me then meets the eye. im just you friendly neighborhood hero." wally let his way with words flow. he wanted this fight to be over because he wanted to escape before Artemis could yell him.

Cain's lips curled into a confident smirk as she saw Artemis drop her weapons, this being everything going exactly how she intended. However, the strikes to her person were much less considered in the planning process. They were indeed just enough, but at this point the hostage was much less necessary to her attack being successful.
Heaving her dagger at full strength, aimed directly between Artemis's eyes, the blade whistled through the air. Taking several steps back, Cassandra felt a sharp pain in her neck as everything went dark.
----------------NPC: Batman
The dark knight caught the woman in his arms as she fell, having a familiar appearance to him, but being too old and young to be either of the women he had in mind. Shiva was the obvious choice being at this level of skill, but this one was too young by many years, and Cassandra was not nearly this good yet. He would have to look into this. Hardly saying a word to the sidekicks he disappeared into the darkness to take the woman to Arkham where he could better examine the enigma..

wally watched as the bat took away the girl. he looked up at Artemis. wally was foolish and he knew he should have had his costume. "Are you ok Artemis?" wallys words were full of concern. he wanted her to be safe. "i know your going to yell at me for not having my costume but hey, sometimes your just to attractive and i dont have time to get ready for the magnetic pull." Wally hoped that his little comment would have made her forget his little indecent with the custom and the almost getting killed. He wanted to hug her, he wanted her to want him back, he wanted her in his arms. but those were things he would never say to her, he will flirt and so on but never tell her he loved her, loved every bit of her.

A R T E M I S C R O C K { A R T E M I S } Artemis seethed out to him through clenched teeth, her body holding rigid as she stalked over to him like a tiger to its prey. If she was not so worried about him she would have punched him right there for pulling that little stunt. Oh he was so lucky that she liked him, but even that could not save the geek-speedster from the woman’s wrath. Hell, even his stupid pick-up line would not save him today. Okay, she really needed to calm down. The archer mentally scolded herself for her little outburst as she forced her heart rate to decrease. He was just an idiot after all, a cute geek-speedster idiot who drove her absolutely insane with his little antics. God she needed help or at least to get away from him before she smashed his skull in with her bow. ”I’m fine, but next time don’t pull a stunt like that. She could have killed you,” came Artemis’s much calmer reply to his earlier statement, her eyes refusing to look at him as she leaned over to pick up the blade which had been aimed at her head only a few minutes ago.
