Howie stared up at the blue sky and bright sun with his jaw open in disbelief. This was the first time he had ever seen the sky, and it was terrifying. Normally it would be a majestic sight, and should probably invoke a well of emotion to come forth, but this was not a good sign. "Okay, don't panic. Think things through. There has to be a logical explanation for this." The monkey person unzipped the front of his dark green and tied the sleeves around his waist, leaving his upper half covered by a gray and yellow tight sleeveless shirt.
"You were coming home from work, and suddenly some idiots start to pick a fight. You blacked out, then woke up here... on a planet of some kind feeling like you got ambushed. Except you didn't." Howie looked over his limbs and gave himself a few pokes. Aside from how he was feeling, it didn't feel like he had gotten beaten up. "Doesn't feel like anythings bruised. If I had been drugged that could explain some things, but not everything. You're a mechanic, not Colony-Sec. Let someone else sort out the details you need to find out where you are, and how to get home." He paused for a moment. "And STOP talking to yourself."
The thin ape-man made his way down from the globe atop the Daily Planet and down to the rooftop with ease. The planet he was on was obviously inhabited, all he had to do was find someone that could understand him and get pointed in the right direction for help. Everything will be fine in the end is what he kept telling himself. He walked to the roof access door, reached for the handle, gave it a turn, and nothing happened. "Doors locked. Time for plan B." Long Hou moved to perch himself precariously on the corner of the Daily Planet with his long tail stretched out behind him for balance. He looked down the side of the building to see how the windows were spaced out, and then at the adjacent building to see how far away it was.
"Well looks like the only option left is to jump." Long Hou brushed his hands off against his legs as he stood up and looked over the edge of the Daily Planet one more time. He didn't know how things would have looked like to any bystander who may have seen him. In a few moments he was going to jump off of the building, and onto the one adjacent to it. Where he was from something like this wasn't that uncommon, and he failed to consider what someone may think of a person looking down from the ledge of tall building.
