Personality
Because his moods seem to change constantly Liyang's personality is hard to pin down. One moment he can be all bad-guy and comes across as fairly menacing, but the next minute he flinches back and starts talking to himself about how he really isn't cut out for the job. He can be civil and pleading one moment and then appear cynical and sarcastic the next. He can be clever and has a thing for noticing little details, but can also be completely oblivious to the obvious and make poor life choices. With the rapid changes all he really accomplishes is a very good impression of a complete spazz.
He usually puts up a fairly light-hearted and thoughtful front, unless the situation calls for seriousness. But still he usually thinks about others before he thinks about himself and will usually claim he's not really the right guy for the job. He has a lot of expectations to live up to, considering he's somewhat a hero. It all boils down to him looking like a pushover, kind of air-headed, and not all that threatening. He doesn't enjoy fighting and will probably try to get out of it in any way he can.
Liyang loves to tease, mock, and mess with people on a daily basis. He has a tendency to dub his favorite "victims" (his friends) different names. But his intentions are never to hurt anyone, but there are times where he may take it too far. If so, he would be the first to apologize for his actions though he sucks horribly at apologizing. All he want is to bring joy to other people lives, he will also be the first to make fun of and laugh at himself.

History
Liyang Yoon pretty much had a simple life before coming to the present. Actually, he would say that he had a great life. He was born into a wealthy lifestyle in Seoul. His father was an CEO of one of the biggest music companies in South Korea and the money he made allowed his family to live a carefree life. Liyang had everything a child could ever want or need; caring parents and money. His mother, Hyomin, was very loving and tended to baby the boy at times. His father, Jiyoung, was one for tough love. He wanted to push his son to strive to be the best. Liyang knew this, but at times he did wish his father would ease up a little.
He was home schooled and had his very own martial arts trainer. The martial arts training was something his father thought would help built character. But the way Liyang saw it was that he was going to follow in the footsteps of his father so why did he need to learn martial arts? It puzzled him, but he continued with his classes because it pleased his father.
Unfortunately, living a wealthy lifestyle had its downfalls. Liyang's only friend was his trainer, his parents, and a few musical artist that work for his father. This sheltered lifestyle was driving him crazy. So at the age of six he pleaded with his parents to send him to public school. His parents finally gave in to the boy's cries. He was truly happy. He was going to a real school and would have the chance to make real friends or so he thought.
First day of school, all the other children already disliked him because of his money. He was rich and they were jealous. It only got worst as the days went by. He quickly jumped to the top of his class in athletics and academics. The cold, stern looks he would get by other students and even some of the teachers caused the boy to want to quit. He could not though. Knowing his father would tell the boy to strive through it, become stronger.
Years passed and Liyang had only made handful of friends, but he was happy. One day Liyang decided to walk home after meeting some friends. As he was walking through the park a group of guys confronted him. One of the guys pulled out a pocket knife and threatened to cut Liyang if he didn't give him all his money. At the time Liyang didn't have any money on him. Furious, the guy told Liyang that there was a price to be paid as he took the knife and slashed across the boy's face.
Liyang could feel the blood running down his face. He was terrified. He had never been in a situation like this. Fearing the worse, Liyang planned on pushing the guy and making a run for it. As the boy extended his hands out to push the guy away a blast of electricity left his palms, sending the guy flying backwards. Fear was written on the guys' faces as they stared at Liyang. Liyang had no clue what just happened, but he took the opportunity to run.
After making it home Liyang ran straight for his mother. "What happened to your face!? We're going to the hospital now!" Liyang had forgotten all about the wound and he still wasn't focus on it. He told his mother what had happened. She didn't know what to do nor did his father when he found out.
Liyang decided it would be best for him to return to home schooling. At first everything was going well, but after a year he realize his abilities were getting stronger and stronger. In private, he would practice to try to master his powers. The last thing he wanted was to hurt some innocent person because he didn't know how to control his powers.
Unfortunately, his parents lost their lives at the hands of a super villain. Liyang wasn't their to save them. He was filled with rage and wanted revenge. He trained himself more and more. He had to get stronger. That's when a portal randomly appeared and pulled him in, bringing him into the present.
After realizing he was in the present, he saw it as a blessing. Maybe he could find villain here and kill him, preventing the death of his parents in the future.

Sample Roleplay
Usually, Liyang wouldn't be caught dead shopping. But everyone had to eat and there wasn't anything at the household he was staying at. He was wearing his favorite black "MEGA LOLZ" t-shirt, a pair of baggy cargo shorts, and black DCs. "Two dollars for a bag of chips... They're not even family-size!" Still, Liyang grabbed the small bag. He had everything he needed. His chips, his Cap'n Crunch, twizzlers. He stopped suddenly, eyeing his items. He knew he needed to eat more healthy. Maybe he would grab some fruit. Luckily he was on the right isle. He reached and grabbed himself two boxs of Fruit Roll-ups. That counts as fruit, right?
He finally made his way to the checkout counter. And of course he grabbed to bags of Skittles for the walk home. He gave the woman the money in exchange for the items he wanted and headed out of the store. "Hey, Mister! Can I borrow a dollar?" Liyang's eyes scanned the area. It was a young boy who look to be around ten. "Uh, sorry lil' dude. I spent the last of my money in there," He said, "How about you take this box of Roll-ups though." The young boy took the box and stared at it a moment before returning his gaze to Liyang. Then he did something that Liyang didn't expect. He kicked him in the shin and threw the box back in his face!
He doubled over in pain as the boy took off like he had stole something. "Ugh! You jerk!" Liyang rubbed his right shin as if that was going to get the pain to stop. No! He was going to return the favor. Who cares if the kid was 10. He needed to be taught a lesson. So now Liyang would give chase. The boy easier maneuvered in and out between the cars in the parking lot, but finally Liyang would grasp him... Or at least he thought.
Everything went black for Liyang for a moment. When he opened his eyes he was staring up at the sky. Apparently, diving for the boy wasn't a great idea. "Who the heck parks a car in a...." He looked around, realizing he was still in the lot. "... Parking lot." He stood to his feet slowly and brushed himself off. Sadly, only thing left of his groceries was the box of Fruit Roll-Ups. Everything else was crashed in the fall. Now he was really upset. Liyang rubbed his head when he realized that there was someone else there. A lady placing bags in the trunk of her car. The same car Liyang ran into.
"Uh.... I'm sorry ma'am."
