Jonathan has mastered a kung fu style know as Zu Quan(drunken fist) which is mainly cheap shots and misleading your opponent it also includes lots of falling and violent dancing (another kungfu style using mainly your legs). Jonathan Majored in psychology, mainly of the psychology of fears so he is a walking text book of fears and phobias. Jonathan also has an arsenal of fear gasses, serums and dusts a short list is here

Jonathan was all ways was a man who loved to put fear in people, he is literally obsessed with the psychology of fear, and doesn't really care for anybody else the only thing he actually likes is a his pet crow who he called craw. He also thinks he's better and smarter then most people, mainly because he is, but also because he's smug. Because of his obsession with fear he makes all his action as scary as he can, he only does this when around people to keep up his appearance because his normal persona is an optimistic gentlemen.
History
Jonathan Crane was born out of wedlock and also suffers severe abuse from his fanatically religious great-grandmother. His father takes off before he is even born, and his mother does not show any love or affection towards her son, leaving the baby with her grandmother without even attempting to bond with him. He develops a taste for fear and an affinity for crows when his grandmother locks him in a dilapidated church full of birds, with a suit previously contaminated with a homemade chemical designed to enrage nearby crows and force them to attack the source. His life at school was as worse he was hated and picked on by everybody just because of the way he looked, he had abnormally long arms and legs.
Jonathan went on to becoming a prized student to a professor Avram Bramowitz a psychology teacher, he wanted to be his colleague but all jobs were taken so Jonathan then took a course of chemistry and minored in chemistry this is where he invented his fear gas. To became a teacher here he had to kill someone on the psychology department, he decide to kill his old psychology teacher which he did. Jonathan was a proffesor for a short while he was fired when he tried to show his class the psychology of fear, he fired a gun at a plotted plant and a shard nearly took a students eye out, he killed the council who fired him. He took the job of lead psychiatrist in Arkham asylum where he used his fear gas on his patience.
Jonathan was first really called scarecrow when the Batman was investigating the councils death, which later ended a battle between Batman and Scarecrow, Scarecrow was sent to Arkham asylum. Scarecrow used to work with penguin who helped gave the things he asked for as he know was making his fright dust, this is where he got his assistant Linda Friitawa. She was the first person to treat Jonathan with kindness since his old professors together they finished the dust together, but then Linda turned him into Scare beast. After this Scarecrow almost never trusted anybody again. He know leads a small cult deep in gotham.

Sample Roleplay
Scarecrow walked in the sewer as that was the safest place to be for him it was either face the big bad croc or face the bat family. He took his chance with the Croc, but he made truce with Croc seeing his cult lived in an abandoned part of the sewers which was right under the reservoir. He had just escaped from Arkham as death stroke took one of the prisoners captive. he stopped at a cross roads of the sewer line and opened a hidden door which lead to a barely lit up corridor.
As he entered he started walking lights flashed on to each side then 10 more and the same thing on and on until he reached a rather another door this one had a shape of a cross and bone which someone carved into it. He opened it.
As soon as he opened it 2 dozen people turned there heads, there eyes all blood red, there bodies shivering none stop they sat in a praying position and started chanting the same thing over and over
"formido, vogelverschrikker, épouvantail, espantapájaros, scarecrow." Jonathan made them drink, eat and breath his fear product. A crow landed on his shoulder and Jonathan started stepping forward, pride in every step, towards a big throne right in the middle of the giant room, behind the throne was a giant tent. Jonathan stopped in front of the throne raised his hand and the crow squeaked a very high pitch as Jonathan said
"All hail fear! All hail fright! All hail scarecrow" the cult stopped chanting
"All hail scarecrow" as they finished scarecrow sat down and thought to himself it's good to be king
